Please note that for the Sonoff firmware, you should not update to a new version, as during the firmware update process, if there are network or power issues, the Sonoff could malfunction and it will NOT be possible to restore the original firmware (it will become unusable).
All types of Sonoff can only be used with 2.4Ghz standard Wifi, the 5Ghz standard is not supported. You should set your router to broadcast a separate 2.4Ghz band to use with Sonoff.
